what polo?

Featured Replies

Hi i'm new to clubpolo. I'm 18, always loved Dubs and the whole Dubstyle euro look. I've currently have got a saxo 1.1 (first car) and want to get properly into the dub scene by finally owning one. I like the look of 6n2's and have been looking into the 1.4 TDIs, but which polo would you recommend? (bearing in mind insurance of course as i cant afford too much)

cheers in advance.

Depends what you want really. If your a fanny and want all the mod cons like PAS, electric windows, mirrors etc then a 6N2 is a good shout. Personally I like MK3s but they don't come with any of that stuff. 1.0L are stupidly fuel efficient but they are also slow as fuck. But being slow your less likely to show off to your mates and end up wrapping it. Plus parts are cheap and plentiful.

fair enough. not seen too many mk3's will have a look into them. yeah i was thinking that. hense the whole 1.4 TDi shout. (Y)

In your circumstance I would personally go for a 6n 1.4 8v. Not fast but not annoyingly slow either and not much more to ensure than your saxo I don't think.

Someone told me the 1.4 6n is the same to ensure as a 1.1 saxo when he was getting quotes. Plenty of cheap parts around and cheap to buy in the first place. I paid £350 for mine with 118000 miles on it and I've done another 5000+ since I've had it and it's never let me down :-) . And they can look damn sexy too ;)

i found the fuel consumption on my liter mk3 diabolical tbh, but i put that down to having to ring it's neck to get any where. pulling out of junction's was a whole new experience in that car, you never knew if you were going to misjudge the car half a mile down the road's speed and get taken out by it before you could pick up enough speed
