hi all

yday i passed my driving test so in about 2 weeks i will be buying a 1.0 6n, so i started ringing around today and got quotes of mainly 4k thirdparty fire and theft i was like wtf how much if i did a pass plu and the very pleasant guy at adrian flux told me that it make no difference because of my age (18). i seen on these fourms that some of u r getting 2k insurance how lol? i have my mum and step dad on the policy but its still a stupid amount of money, cheapest was like 3.2k, and theres no way I'm paying that for a 1.0

iv tryed:

I'm 17 soon and going named driver on dads policy on mk3 polo, its not garaged or out with co-op £747 fully comp :) hope this helps, i also set it to me just turned 17 :)

With quinn direct

on my own policy i was paying £200 a month (18 years old) on a 1.4 1996 8v

I'm now currently paying Still 18 , £195 a month on a 1.9 2002 TDI SPORT :s

Ring quinn up and get them to give you a quote.

Off topic , I done a quote for my 16v with admiral , came to 7.5k ...

Next day a woman (didnt sound like she liked her job) said would i like to insure my car with them , i said look if I'm insured on a newer car thats turboed and has the same bhp and worth more for only 2k then why would i pay more for an older car. she basicaly just agreed and said they where really bad for young drivers. was really nice.
