Would you throw in everything needed for the full price, golf hubs, bearings etc

i haven't got any golf hubs mate, the ones i used are still in use on the polo with the coilovers.

I'l have a ask around tho and see if any one i know has a set, leave it with me

it's fine unless you try and chuck it round a hard bend which is when 'fluid transfer' comes into play, which is the fluid from the ram that has all the weight put on it transferring into the ram on the opposite side. it just makes the car lean more in bends, but this isn't racing suspension, if your looking for some thing to make your car handle well then neither air ride or hydro's will do that. it's fine under normal driving tho.

if the fluid transfer concerns you it can be gotten rid of by fitting 2 more accumulators and dumps (these can be gotten through tony100 among other places), so it has one for each ram rather than one between the front and one between the rear. it will drive just like a normal car then (Citroen used the same kind of set up on their cars minus the up and down control) and gives Independent dampening to each ram. this is what i'm planning to do with it if it don't sell, although i want to do it more for the fully Independent up and down on each corner it will give for some 3 wheeling

Well I should be able to put down a deposit next week if that's any good? Aslong as it doesn't sell of course, tbh I'm trying to find out if I'm going to be better off with airride or this, if you can give me any info benefits of each and downfalls? that would be great as I've nver looked into either of them?

Airride will probably be a fuckton more expensive than this kit, probably closer to £1500 depending on where you go

Billy bargain IMO

air ride also envolves sitting around waiting for the compressor to refil, where as this is just flick the switch as and when you choose. It has a heavy duty truck battery for plenty of play time, plus the kit so it recharges when the engine is running.

Also these sound like a transformer, air will never sound that cool

can both air and hydraulics be driven at any set height or can you only have them all the way up or all the way down?

that really depends on what wheels you are running. when i had my 13's on it it had zero ground clearance with the sump

with the 14's on it was drivable all the way down as the bigger wheels gave the sump more clearance. as long as your car isn't sitting on the floor then it's drivable

i don't know about air (although i would imagine it would be the same) but with hydraulics you have to have some fluid in the system for them to give it damping, so if it's dropped all the way it won't be able to give damping because there's nothing to dampen. the same when it's all the way up, the system will be rammed full of pressurized oil so it will not give it damping as there's no where for the oil to go. in between these tho it has damping, it's just the extremes where it's solid.

i didnt mean that i mean can you set it at a pre determined height and leave it there or does it have to be all the way up or all the way down? not inbetween?

and what you say about this dampening? I'm only going to have it sitting on the floor when I'm stood still so it wont matter will it?

thanks for the offer mate but i already have a set of hocks, and a mk3 polo. looking for more like a nice set of wheels and some cash, or a mk2 golf gti 4 door or high spec jetta to use as a parts car for my jetta
