Vw mk1 Golf C formel e 1.1 5 door

I have had this car for the last 2 years, spent a year restoring it all and getting it ready for passing my test then been using it as my daily for he last year and a bit.. I love this car but it has to go as I am going travelling. Got the car re-sprayed on the outside and looks great even though there are a few imperfections. The engine has had a rebuild (so should be good for lots more miles yet) it has done 189000 on the clock but I think its more as the clocks stopped at some point with previos owner. All electrics work spot on. Tax and tested (long).

Good points:

Had an engine rebuild and has weber carb instead of piersberg one (the carb has been re-built at crazy quiffs)

Full re-spray

De-badged boot lid

16v break servo making the breaks actually work

Gti interior

Lowered on coilovers (unknown brand)

Alloys with nankang tires with good tread (Set of 5 but no tire on the fifth but comes with another spear wheel)

MOT till September 8th 2011

Tax till 30th April 2011

Toad Alarm and immobiliser

Comes with head unit and front and rear pioneer speakers (6x9)

New front bumper

New cl splitter

Clear front indicators

Wolfsberg floor mats

No major rust! So no welding required

Some cool touches like the front number plate moved to the side and various others

2 keys and 2 fobs for alarm

Drove down to cornwall and back in the holidays with no problems

Bad points:

- High mileage but drives and pulls well and should do a lot more miles yet due to the rebuild

- Slight rumble when idling but has had a new inlet gasket recently which made it loads better.

- Few imperfections in paintwork, ie a few stone chips on the arches, a couple of marks in paint but shown in pictures and not noticeable and could t-cut out, couple of minor dinks in the roof from being parked under a walnut tree but very small. Just being as honest as I can.

- Could do with a new rear bumper as it is a bit faded and miner scuff on corner from previous owner

- Slight corrosion on one of the wheels (but have the fifth so just need to swap the tire over if it bothers you)

- have had a problem with a slight oil leak but have replaced various seals and rings and think it is sorted.

I think the car looks great and has plenty of plus points. Could be kept as it is or a good base for a larger engine conversion. Hence why I am looking for £1375 ono
