Is it Dangerous to use anything other than "Spacers" to add space :S such as a washer on each bolt ?? or making some?? sorry if its not explained properley.. but just curious.. been wondering for a while and thought... thats what this site is for soo I'm asking your opinion :)

washers are dangerous as you'll just crush them when you tighten the wheels and they will break and fall out leaving your wheels loose

I'f your doing your rears, you an use spacing blocks. These go behind the rear stub axels. You my news to rework your rear brakelines however since you'll be adding distance from their original mounting points

Yeah , buying your own materials and making yourself some would cost more, But they would probably be better quality than the tat you get off ebay.

I used some for no more than 2 months off of eBay and they corroded and then cracked because of them being hollow.

I'm currently setting up a traders section on here and I will be machining these sorts of things on demand.

Wheels spacers for the front are best, But for the back I would use some axle spacers, Much safer and cheaper, Can be spaced up to 40mm pretty safely. Something else I will be producing.

With the spacers, do you use extra long bolts, or two sets; One with spacer to rear beam, and another set for axle to spacer?

just longer bolts are needed, High tensiles.

If your using 20mm spacers, get 20mm longer bolts for instance.

Suppose its a good thing that you asked instead of just trying it and hoping for the best.

If you can find one with the right PCD that won't foul the drum, an old brake disc and some longer wheel studs works

well it will help to keep your wheel run more freely and i think it puts the load on it as apposed to bolts, cant be sure though.

they stop wheel wobble/vibrations and the majority of hubcentric spacers bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer, alot safer than non hubcentric spacers

In my experiance you buy shit non-hubcentric ones and you'll end up buying hubcentric ones. Buy cheap crap, buy twice.
