Featured Replies

Hello All

Info:

Its a MK1 Golf C Formel E 1.1 4 Speed 3+E 5 Door

I got this car about a year ago and its not your usual Mk1

Originally Mars Red when i got it but the paint work was far from good

So it got Sprayed Matt Valley Green with the front pannel being sprayed Clock Work Orange

MOT - Sept

TAX - End of Feb

150k Miles

Good Bits

It has been upgraded to a webber carb before i bought this

Has had new wheel bearings all round for MOT

Old School Thule Roof Rack (Can be included if price is right)

Sony Tape Player (but has the connection in the back for a Cd changer)

Original Interier (Front seats are not great but back are good)

Gives MPG when in E Drive

On Steelies / A 80 Alloys with almost new cooper tyres

Dont need polishing

Carb has been rebuilt and gaskets, jets ect. changed

Front is lowered 80mm Back is still to be done or will include the springs/shocks

Bad bits

Had to have some welding for MOT

The inside need to be painted as didnt get round to do this so its still Mars Red but will include paint to finish this

No speakers are fitted

No Parsel shelf

Carb could do with being set up

Hay m8 would you swop for a mk3 polo with mods would let you know at later date but for now just want to know if you would swop.

Did mine with belton came out fresh!

Interested in a 6n with 12 months mot and mods...

Bump for your MK1. Just thought i would add to your thread, your roof rack is an early 1970s Thule roof rack. It should be stamped on the gutter clamps, I have one on my MK1 Golf 1.1 and it works a treat. And there worth between £120 & £140. GLWS.

Waaaaaanit! Shame you live so far away. Got a mk3 that wouldve made a nice part ex. Glwts.

Cleaned out thread bump.

Carb was rebuilt with a carb rebuild kit. And is now running ok but the running speed is set quite high there is also a blow coming from the manifold to downpipe - needs a new gasket (will be done at weekend if i can get one

Tax is due for renewal at end of month

Price is £800 with A 80 Wheels

Or 700 without or could be less without the roof rack

Or Am Open To Swaps
