same boat bud put your mum/dad or both as a named driver(s) should bring it down to bout £1200 (in my case each is personal though) but I'm sure they're is cheaper cars but polos are desireble to alot of kids and coz theres soo many of them the insurance companys see them as disposable (cheap run around you dont mind crashing)

just gonna have to stick it out I'm 19 driving two years and was reduced to a ped not too long ago coz i couldnt afford to run a car :( but I'm on my way up again

Did mate put my mom on she said that would make it more even though she's got full no claims no convictions or points, so I'm screwed lol! Can't afford 5 grand insurance no chance. Who you with?

Bump, anyone?

well you will have to go with a 1l, but just going to have to ring about. Bounce quotes and barter over prices, and you will get it down. Phone people like brentacre etc, they are respectful over old/modded cars. Its just part and parcel of driving these days, proper shit one.

fiat cinquecento, when i passed that was the cheapest car to insure with sub 650 quotes

Get a mk1 900cc polo, would be very cheap to insure, but then you have the issue of power haha.

power doesnt bother me, the money id spend on fixing rust and buying the car would, thanks for all your replies peeps anymore are welcomed :)

i got a quote for £1044 with elephant on my 1L mk3 breadvan like I'm 21 with no, no claims and had my anty on as second driver give them a try :)

Lephant was the one all mods declared tpft 2300 still steep but looks like it's gonna be the one

try admiral, was the cheapest for me.

I'm 18, no no claims, paying 2600 for a 1.4 5dr 6n now with tescos because i couldn't find 2200 to pay up front with admiral who were more expensive with finance

i cheated :ninja: i learned to drive in my bready so insured it on my 17th birthday for 850 squid (quinn direct) for the year on provisional then passed just before my 18th then paid 967 for the second year moved on to a valver which is 1400 a year with chris knott so 1400 for the year with two years no claims, maybe one day my insurance will go down but its not likely
