i have been passed since may, i am 18 and insurance is up for renewal at the start of feb. ino its a bit away but just thought id start shopping round, i have a 58 polo 9n3 1.2L, i pay insurane myself and its killing me atm, its around 2200 per year :'( that with quinn, anyone know or are with any good, cheap insurers? any help would be great,

Elephant are pretty good for young drivers, they offered me the best price of everyone i rang thats why i am with them now. Btw i think insurance cost is supposed to go up in january, not sure but something i read somewhere.

I'm with admiral at the moment very cheap tbh try them, add different people, your parents, older brothers sisters and play around to see which options give you the cheapest quote.

I'm not sure about the price increase mentioned above but what you can do is take out quotes in decemeber and some quotes are valid for 45 or 90 days so they could still be valid in feb if you get me.

I paided £1700 in my first year, now with 1years NCB and being 19 i pay £1077 on 1.4 8v 6n full comp, I'm the policy holder as well

I think I got lucky. Being 22, having no NCB (hadn't drove for 4 years due to not having the money for a car :( ) and putting both my parents on my 1.4 8v - Admiral gave me a quote of £470 on the 10month bonus accelorater option and it can be transfered to another company at the end if theyy turn out cheaper woo
