Hi everyone, first post but long time lurker (I'm a mk1 golf guy) thought you may be interested in this find, I have too many cars to keep it!

About 37,000 miles, there is no service history, but there have only been 2 previous owners, and the interior is very tidy to reflect this. Also the previous Mot, issued in February 2010, shows the mileage as 36,782 so it obviously isn’t used much!

Tax runs out end of this month

The bodywork is in good condition, but there are some scratches (one causing slight denting) on each rear wheel arch. The rear wheel arches and sills have some surface rust, and there is a dent in the n/s sill. All visible in pics.

It has a glass sunroof which doesn’t leak, but some of the black paint on the metal surround has come off, but this would be easy to repaint with rattle cans etc.

The drivers seat release handle is missing, so you are unable to fold the seat forward, but other than this the interior is in very good condition.

Number plate may be of interest, did a quick online valuation which came up with £350, but they can't pick up interesting points, I know you can get a triple k turbo for example.

I'm after a cheap project starter, shame it has nealy no MOT. how much would you want with fresh MOT? very interested if its got 12months

Ok guys, as of yesterday this has 12 months MOT, with a few advisories:

Light exhaust gas leaks

One tyre 3mm

Surface rust on offside sill

Brake hoses advised, the fronts are being replaced tomorrow, the rears were advised on slight corrosion to ferrules.

rear brake effort lower than expected, but met required efficiency, but will check this tomorrow as well.

Also discovered it has a brand new fuel tank.
