Anybody selling or know where to get a set of 14" G60 steel wheels?

They never made G60 steels in 14's. The ones that look simlar I think you can still get them from VW. Or have a look round on ebay.

They're steel wheels from the Golf Driver - 14x6in I think.

Early (pre-90 spec) ones had more holes, and were also fitted to the GTI.

I believe they come on the mk3 golf not the mk2, as I have some mk2 golf driver steelies and they have round holes not the pear shaped g60 holes.

I was also lead to beleave the 14" g 60s came off a mk3 golf or a vento and the mk2 gti steels were just round ones.

G60 steels are just a 15x6 version of 14x6 MK3 golf wheels,found with the same centre caps on GL's afaik.

I do believe Prox is running a set of these on his 6n2?

As I said above I'm pretty sure you can still get them from VW as for second hand have a look in the for sale section or eBay!

And '91 model year 8v GTIs that didn't spec alloys. VW went through a crazy period that year of letting people buy an 8v GTI with electric leathers, electric sunroof, air-con, but on steelies. Haha.

I don't quite get what you mean by buying them from vw. Is there like a vw site that sells new parts or something?

Being stupid is probably why you sound stupid. I know you can't help it.

What you need to do is go into your local VW dealership (the place they sell brand new VWs from). Speak to someone who works there and ask them to hold your hand and take you to the parts department. Once you get there it will be tough. You will have to tell them you want steel wheels off a MK3 Golf. They should be able to show you pictures on a screen. If you point to the right image and specify you want four or five wheels you should end up with the correct parts.
