Hey guys, got some trims today, mercedes, 15 inch, just the 2 after checking 3 different scrappies but i'll get the last 2 off eBay.

But only after buying them i realised i'ma have to cut the lugs off and cable tie them down.... Whilst they're on the car cause they cover the nuts to fit them to the car.

Best way to go about this?!

Iv got a set of 4 you can have alex?

And yeah , just angle grind everything off the back so they are flat, Take off the wheel , centre them on the wheel and then cable tie them on. use silver ties

but it's awkward cause you can't put them back on if the trims are on because the wheeltrim covers the nuts?

Be careful about tying them too tight as they can groove the tyres and they are quite difficult to keep centered.

Put folds in long cable ties,so you can insert them and draw halfway back bringing the end back out the trim? This would work with some,but going from a spoke in the gap around the Merc badge,round to a hole in the wheel,back through the hole next to it and back out the gap.. Hope you're good at fishing! You'll surely need to get fingers behind the wheel to guide it through.

Or just get some 13" trims and just melt them to the backs of the Merc trims.

Yeah sorry alex, You basically need to put a few one first, letting the trim swing still. Then put them on, and add remaining ties.

You can have two out of the 4 , or i can just give you 4 of them for abit more, You can have a few spares then incase you loose one on the motorway lol

by far the best suggestion.

at least you can make sure you get them centered so they don't wobble all over the place and look shit, also it's more of a permanent solution rather than just bodging the on with cable ties.

from this side, it looks the tits

but i can't get it anymore flush than this because of the shape of the wheel, they're pushing against the rim and wont let it go any further

looking at it now, the second one looks even worse on photo.

the bottom half is fairly the tight, but the half that's showing is awful!

he couldn't fit them properly so gave up, he got the rotas he wanted months ago and sold the car a few weeks ago!

how could you find this thread from a year ago and then give advice on it? you will have had to have searched for it surely so you know its old

I've just seen you've also commented on the year old can trims look cool thread too, it looks like someone wants some wheel trims
