256mm Polo MK3 Brake conversion

Featured Replies

hi, i recently upgraded my brakes to Vectra brakes (256mm) and i can difinately notice a huge difference over VW1 brakes!!

i have just taken some brakes of a 1.8 16v vectra that have the same ones i used!

the carriers on the vectra brakes are the same fitment as the polo mk3 fitments so bolt straight on once you have re-tapped the hole from m10 to m12

i am selling the carriers and calipers for £50.

you will need brand new vectra pads, and a mk2 gti 16v front discs and new vectra pipes for them to fit, all available from eurocarparts.

Just thought i'd help out a bit if you don't mind Beckett, if the buyer gets stuck, i wrote a "how to" on fitting these to a mk2 ;)

word of advice though, don't tap the holes to m12, use m10/m12 shoulder bolts, that way, you can always put it back to standard if ever you need/want to :)

they give some awesome braking power when you hook them up to a golf MC :D

best of luck with the sale
