Hi everyone! Decided to sell my little mk3 as my mk1 will be done next year and I fancy a bigger car as a daily now. Ideally a tidy and stockish Jetta GTI.

VW Polo Coupe CL Fox (Was a 1.0 4 speed)

Mileage: On clock is 109k but shell done around 115k. Mileage of engine and box is unknown.

MOT: Will have fresh 12 months on for buyer

TAX: February 2011

Engine size and specs:

1272cc 3F GT engine (engine declared on the V5C logbook) and AHD code 5 speed GT gearbox.

New clutch, cable, water pump, cam belt, plugs, oil & fuel filters, rotor arm and dizzy cap fitted when engine was fitted around May this year.

4 branch exhaust manifold, no cat or centre box and a GT rear silencer.

Brakes:

VWII calipers, drilled, grooved & vented 239mm discs and Goodridge hoses. Standard rear drums.

Suspension:

70/60 Jamex spring and shock kit fitted around May this year. New TCA's fitted with full front Powerflex polybush kit.

Wheels:

Golf GTI 14x6 steels with good Falken 195/45/14 tyres.

Interior and exterior:

Golf GTI front seats and normal CL door cards and rear seats as the Fox ones were awful!!! Colour coded bumpers! GT clocks.

Good points: Well maintained and virtually had everything most people could ask for done to it. Only let me down once when hall sender packed up which was replaced with a genuine part. Starts and drives really well. Good on fuel and quick! Never welded and no evidence of any crashes. Put a new fuel tank on it in April. Although I don't know the mileage of the engine it pulls well with no smoke, makes no bad noises and uses no oil or water.

Bad bits: Clutch has always been heavy since the swap compared to other Polo's I've had or drove.and I think thats down to the arm where it goes into the gearbox. Will get on ramp and take 'box out to sort this. Bit of a mark on the n/s/r arch. Again I'll try to sort that out. Has had respray on both sides but the owner before me (he did bumpers too) which ain't concours but is certainly tidy. Rev counter sometimes doesn't work after starting but a knock on the dash brings in to life again.

Price: Looking for £1000 or a Jetta GTI p/x or swap.

Don't really want another car unless its a mk2 Jetta GTI unless someone has a K70 or mk1 Passat, Scirocco, Golf, Jetta or Caddy to go with my mk1 Polo.

But a Jetta GTI 8v or 16v is best bet as a nice daily for me atm.
