depends...easiest way is to get a donor car and swap everything (what i did)

is the engine coming out of a same era polo, otherwise the clocks will need to be changed and therefore the interior loom

you will also need to make sure that you have the immobiliser parts

basically you swap out everything from the engine bay...including your radiator.

there are several threads on this listing exact parts...but as said, your better off having the car there so if you need any other parts you can get at them easily

alright thanks.

i have tried to find before i posted but i could not find anything for 8v-16v

there was a few 1.0 to 16v I'm guessing that was the one were on about as there was a reply from you?

http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=220662

is the 8v-16v the same as that then?

cheers.

just buy 8 more valves from VW and drop them in the oil filler cap, might rattle on first turn of the key, but it'll be reet when they find their seats.

Either that or search as I've replied to about 3 threads today with the right information

I'm not asking for sarcasm nor for people to tell me to use the search button.

all that was needed was a link.

dubbprince, so there is not an actual thread on 1.4 8v to 16v...... but thanks anyway

panda, why comment if your not going help?

thank-you for all your help.

Sonny.

The search button is there for a reason...you were told to use it to save having the forum cluttered with similar threads

8v is an 8v doesnt matter what litre engine it is!!!! they are the same and the thread will still aid you.

Sonny,

I could create one...but it'd be almost identical to the GTI one already in existence.

Let me know what you're stuck on, but for the time being buy a mk4 16v donor car and swap everything over...its that simple. :-D
