admiral cancellation policy

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm hoping to get insurance for when i come home for a month with admiral but would want to cancel it after the month. Tried looking at the policy documents and it all seems very vague about cancelling with no clear explanation of how much of a refund you get.

sooo has anyone else done the same? was there a cancellation fee and how much of a refund did you get?

Cheers :-)

You could just ring them up & see if they would do you cover for a month instead of taking say 6 or 12 months cover out & then cancelling it on them would save hassle

good shout. only thing is I've rung up before to pay monthly and the quote suddenly almost doubled in price.

ill give them a call anyway to ask about the cancellation policy but i imagine they'll just be really vague.. just wondered if anyone had sold their car or something and cancelled the policy and whether they got a refund or not because i dont wanna be having to pay for the whole year?

they will rape you for it, if you have paid the policy in full. i cancelled with them with 6 months left to go due to switching to a van which they wouldnt cover. better off paying monthly if you plan to cancel after a month. either that or use a company that do short term cover. places like day insure or temp cover do policies up to around a month in length

oh right, glad you said that before i committed then! ill give them a call later about a pay monthly quote.

been looking at short term but they either wont insure the car as it's too old or wont insure me as I'm too young..

cheers

give direct line or quinn a phone I'm sure my dad got a months insurance cover with one of those two so we could move the mini around garages sure they cover older cars upto 1991 so your gt should be alright
