Featured Replies

i got classic car insurance on my MK2 polo about a month ago, for £700... which was great.

they told me i had to let them know my mileage, and i forgot so they've cancelled it..

no big deal, i can call up and renew my cover..

no.... suddenly my car's not old enough and i shouldn't have got the insurance in the first place?

uh.

so here i am again, looking for insurance. any suggestions? new driver.

I phoned them too and they told me the car was no longer considered a classic, apparently the underwriters changed their rules a while ago :/

Cheapest quote I got was wadi Quinn direct for 1100, a fair bit more than what you got quoted but it's a damn site better than the usual 2.5k I was getting everywhere else

just tried quinn direct. £5005 =[

guys try ecar, with a girl on the insurance with you.

I found Footman and James the cheapest if you can pay upfront, I think their classic policy is for cars older than 15 years. Now with Tescos paying £2600 for a 1.4 6n, I'm 19.

yo guys, just to let you know,

my dad called up and relentlessly demanded that they gave me my policy back....

my dad is a good negotiator, and i now have my policy back, and i'm bloody lucky!

Why the hell do you pay so much? I'm just 19 with a years NCB and I pay £1800 for a 6N2 GTI!!!
