Thanks, it's a very tidy car. It's a difficult one to price. I saw a similar recently for £2000 which I agree is a lot of money. What do you think is a realistic price for a Coupe S like this as they're very thin on the ground these days?

You are right .. you don't see many like this and as long as its as good as it is in the pictures and there is no rust and I think its about the right price.. cue a load of people telling me that I'm wrong! But I would pay it if I was looking for another mk2 :) good luck with the sale and stick to your guns!

Cheers for your comments. There's no rust on the car. There was a bit on the bottom of the rear quarters but I've recently had these seen to professionally at huge cost I might add!!! The car starts on the button with no problem from auto choke, settles down to idle of 950rpm and drives like a car 20 years younger!!

i guarantee that 2k polo didn't sell for that. if your looking for a quick sale like you say you should be asking around the 900 mark imo, if you don't mind waiting around for the right buyer to come along then who knows, they may pay what you are asking but it will take time.

the problem is that mk2 polo's ain't particularly sort after so even mint ones (which this looks to be) don't sell for big amounts. it's not like the mk1 golf where people are fighting over good one's and pay big prices for them, the mk2 polo (or pretty much any early polo for that matter) is quite a niche market and prices suffer because of this.

If it was a german made one in that condition i'd of bought it off you without second thought. Still a really clean car, good luck with the sale got no doubt you'll get a buyer.

It pains me to do so but price just been reduced £1095 with P slots or £925 with steelies!!!
