Seat Ibiza GTi

Featured Replies

Decided to put this up for sale as I fancy either something diesel or a mk3 GT.

Features: Power steering, Electric Windows, Pop out rear windows, 10 disc CD changer, ABS. Trip computer including current and average MPG, Time elapsed, Outside temperature, engine temperature, time. GTi embroidered sports seats. Leather steering wheel, gearknob and handbrake. Drivers and passengers airbags. Remote central locking and alarm.

Fully specced up really as its a GTi.

Mileage: 126k, still running very smooth due to it being a VAG engine and not at all stressed. Suspension etc. still feels tight as well.

Mods: The wheels have been given a quick spray over in satin black, as the silver was very corroded. However they could do with being rubbed down and sprayed again, but this is not an issue if you are wanting the change the wheels anyway.

'Stage 1' airbox, gives is a nice roar when you put your foot down.

Bad points:

Few dings over the car nothing bad and as to be expected from a 13 year old car. Also needs a new foglight cover but I will get one before it goes as its only £5 from Seat.

Exhaust rattles, very common problem on these, with nearly all owners reporting it. I will get under it and sort this out before it goes as well.

Handbrake lever looking a little worse for wear, but I'm sure a replacement can be sorted out easy enough.

The engine pulls strongly all the way through the revs, its a lot quicker than MK3 Golf GTi's with the same engine due to it weighing a lot less, also keeps up with my mates 306 GTi-6 happily enough so its not slow. MPG wise it will get 40+ driving normally, goes down to about 35 if you rag it a bit and under 30 if you are proper going for it, so not too bad for a 2 litre.

Price: £1400 or swaps for a B3 or B5 Passat TDi (preferably estate) Or mk3 Polo GT. Will also consider other stuff so show me what you got.

Couple of pics for now, will get some more detailed ones up later on:

anychance of pm'ing me the reg so i can get a quote as i like it but not sure if i can get insured, probally the same with alot of the people on here tbh

Will do mate, its surprisingly cheap to insure. This is due to it being a GTi which is in a lower insurance group than the cupra sports, even though its a higher spec and cost more when new!

Just to give people an idea, i'm 18, 1 year no claims, fully comp on my own policy its around £1500 a year and thats paying monthly.

That made no sense pal ? Lol

What I mean is I would happily drive a slow MK1 as they look cool as fuck.

If I were to have a MK2 it would have to be a GTi, as i couldn't have a car that handles that well with a shit engine.

Anyway, I would be interested in your MK1 but not with the fuel line issues and stuff.

mines a mint black mk2 1.8 8v

Ahh ok man , I'm gnna have a go at sortin it this sunday

Tempted to offer u my vento tdi dude

Would be interested, but need a hatchback or estate really as I can't chuck my bmx in a saloon.

Cars just had a Custom made Read Performance exhaust made up, 2.75" bore, 4 inch silencer and a 3.5" outwardly rolled tip, sounds very nice and awesome quality.

Also had a brand new front engine mount yesterday as the stud snapped off in the old one.

My cars got a topic up if u wanna have a look mate let me no

Anything VAG considered. MK3 GT, MK4 16v, TDI's or MK2 Golfs of particular interest.

Vento still stands mate

Whats the spec on the vento mate? As in leccy windows, power steering etc?

Also, you reckon the boot is big enough to chuck a BMX in the back?
