Hi, i'm new here. i'm buying a mk2 polo this weekend and i just wondered whether 12" minilites would fit over the brakes on a polo or whether it would just be better to get 13"s? Also i know i'd probably need wobble bolts but theres a few different sizes on ebay, so i just wondered if anyone could tell me which ones i would need? cheers.

to the best of my knowledge, 13's are the smallest you can go to fit over the brakes :)

I wonder if they would fit with some 20mm spacers?

They won't fit. Even if you did get them to fit they'd look to small on the car and your engine would rev like mad unless you got some seriously massive tyres.

Its just like using a shorter ratio gear box. I think they would look awesome on a mk1,2,3 , Not so much on a 6n

They would look far to small. I mean 13s look okay with the right tyres but any smaller would be gash. You'd never be able to get the wheel up into the arch enough. Would always have arch gap.

o.k cheers guys, really i want the car as low as it will go, how wide do you think i can go on 13"s before they stick out of the arch to much to tuck them under? do you reckon 13" x 6" will go under the arches alright?

As long as they aren't a silly offset you'll be okay.
