I've got a stray cat at the back of my garage which is stinking the place out!!! i cant get rid of it in the snow obviously but my mums been feeding it. will it keep coming back and what can i do to stop it getting in the gap (about 6inches wide all the way to the top by my opening of the door) or even wanting to stay inside the garage at all, same with foxes :/

Could you leave it in there for a few days , wait till the weather improves and call the RSPCA ? if there the right people.

I took a dog to the police station once because he was stray around the area for a few days , copper even got me to give it dog food :/

Just make up some bedding and food. It's a garage, it's gonna stink anyway! Just, ours stinks of petrol.. :)

well its a well known stray we wouldnt get it taken away as my mum usualy feeds it but i dont want it to keep coming back to the garage and stinking it all up!!!! anything which i can do to prevent them getting into the garage?

Don't be cruel! It's too cold! :p Just keep feeding him until the summer comes round.

Once he's found a good place to go, there's not much that can stop him, unless he finds a better place.

And your mum is a better human being than you are!

I'm sure you can get some cat repellent spray or something similar.

depends what the cats like, if its some horrible rank cat that looks like its covered in diseases and is gonna die anyway just block the gap up with something so it cant get in, but if its a nice cat then keep feeding it and dont block the gap

We have stray cats living in one of my dads sheds...used to annoy him

big style...now the stupid old git feeds them and they've lived in there now

for 4 years.He's even put old blankets in beside them to keep them warm.

How about just giving it a bath if it smells?

I'm not a huge fan of cats, but I don't think kicking it out in this weather is a nice thing to do.

throw a fish into the neighbours garage? pass the buck and all that...

get some kitty litter and be nice to it after all it only wants somewhere warm and dry as would you if you if the tables were turned and you were homeless

Cats are madly clean. They spend like 25% of there life washing and 75% of there life sleeping. Its all they do. With a fraction of a percent eating and and doing there buisness in the garden

Well, thats what my cats life consists of anyway.

Cant be house trained if its doing stuff in the garage to make it stink.

Let off a few fireworks inside the garage? Or rev the guts off your polo after removing the exhaust? Or even just run in there firing a cap gun and shrieking at the top of your lungs

Feeding it was the mistake.

Its a predator, kick it out and let it sponge off someone else. Cats are much tougher creatures than most people seem to think.

Call the RSPCA but defo keep looking after it for the time being, poor thing...
