Yes, me and the people in the car that I hit was both lucky as we just scraped the sides...

Got the new door window today and started right away to are down the padding etc. Noticed that the window replacement will be an easy task

But decided that I'll straighten out the door as cloes as I can allready while I have opened it so I dont have to open it again later when I finish it. Dont feel like doing the final finish on it yet as I have put a lot of hobby money into my Porsche tractor the past weeks...

Here's some pictures from tonight.

Rear arch will be replaced instead of straightening as I was aware of a severe rust issue and a bad repair there allready when I bought it.

The big front door dents are allready roughly straighened but will continue tomorrow in the daylight.

Also went to the local carpart recycling center to pick up a replacement rearview mirror for the drivers door. Bought a set of clear side turnsignal lights (for Passat) too as the orange ones will not look right with the new look...

Dents on the driversdoor done and mounted the new glass.

Have been skeptical on the taillights I had bought due to the amount of black surroundings.. Want to have a clean white look on it when finished. So I sold them this weekend and right away bought a set of LED red clear ones instead.

The headlights will still be the ones with daylights though.

Got the car roughly straightened now so I can drive it again and will finish it later when the snow have given in for the warmer weather...

Will be installing them later this spring when I get the PoLo's dents straightened out and repainted.

As soon as the weather becomes a bit dry I will finish the damages on the doors and fenderarches and fit the final touchups..

Also will lower it before changing to the new summerwheels.

Just have to weld the wheelarch now.

(Naah. Replaced with an other set of doors from a same coloured polo. :))

The dry summer roads suddenly appeared as the weather turned from icy winter roads just in a week so I had to start working on these...

Two cleaned and two where the paint have started to bubble off waiting to be washed.. :)

Also ordered some lowering this weekend...

Lazy as I've been the past weeks all I have got done is lightly polish the wheels and put the 40mm drop in all corners..

Like the height though.

Once again a small but visible update. Atleast in my opinion...

you did an ok job of the rear lights.

the front end conversion will say it all though!

The rear end is not yet finished either. Will get some more modifications too.

Regarding the front end I'm more and more falling for the latest look... But not given up on the 9n3 yet either. Just have not had the time as the Polo have been my dailydriver the whole winter.

Now that I took the summer dailydriver back into use I will be able to start working on the bodywork on the Polo too.

The summer dailydriver is the beetle seen in the last pictures..

Found a Golf VI rear bumper at the local VW repairshop that was supposed to be thrown away due to a rear damage.

Started repairing the crack today.

As it looks now. Will be filling up some more as the PP welds on old cracked surfaces will not be as strong as on clean surfaces welded.

Outside for now. Will have to clean the paint off before finishing the outside.

I've got to be honest i think its great what your doing but i dont see the lodgic behind it

that pic with the rear bumper does not suit a 6n, it reminds me of something like this....

There's no logic in most of my work...

The only thing I go with is that I can visualize something looking better in the back of my head by doing some minor modifications. I prefer redesigning and reusing what can be find on the market. Preferably OEM parts as in this case. The goal is to make it look as it would have come from the factory.

Those "Pokemon look" aftermarket bolt-on stylingkits are the most horrific things I can think of. Just don't you worry.

Rearbumper in the "Cut and Paste" stage. Trying out the cut up Golfbumper parts to see how they work together reshaped.

I'd say the bumper looks like it might actually work quite well, good luck!

kind of comes into an idea (that I'm pretty sure has been done) i had to chop the top half off a 6n2 bumper and then use an 8v 6n bumper to make a hybrid if you know what i mean
