Make: Volkswagen

Model: Polo

Year/Reg: 1997 P-reg

Mileage: Approx 131k (wont change as the car is now not used)

MOT: Just ran out as I have a new car

Tax: until the 28/2/2011

Good points:

I have owned this car for 3 years now and it has been nothing short of fantastic, extremely reliable and a joy to drive

Absolutely everything in working order.

Engine / Gearbox -

Starts first time every time

The car has never trashed from cold, always given time for the oil to warm and get round (always good quality semi-synthetic used)

Distributor has been replaced with one from a 44k car as I had an issue with the hall sender so I just replaced the whole dizzy.

I have lots of paperwork and receipts, numerous old MOT's etc

Gearbox has been reconditioned and I have receipt to prove this

Exterior / Chassis -

Lowered 70mm on unknown make shocks and springs

De-badged grille

Colour coded door handles

smoked side repeaters

Rear wiper removed and replaced with proper blanking plate

Chrome bee-sting aeriel, can included original as well

Set of German pressed plates included in sale

Falken ZE912 ZIEX Tyres 195/45/14 - However, will need replacing fairly soon

Interior -

All seats are from a 44k car and in brilliant condition

Central locking pump has also been replaced with one from the 44k car so no worries about that going anytime soon

Heater dials and switches replaced with red filters

Clarion Headunit, plays MP3 CDs, all wiring in place for a sub and amp in the boot

Wiring and parcel shelf with cutouts for 6x9's inculuded

Spare parcel shelf with no speaker cutouts included

NO 6x9's will be included in the sale as I'm keeping my faithfull infinity's!

Bad points:

There is a crack in the windscreen which is on the inside and is from where i tried to put the rear view mirror back on and pushed too hard.

However this has now been like this for 2 years through 2 winters and 2 MOT's and has not grown or caused any problem (hence why I haven't bothered replacing it!)

If your insurance covers windcreens then it will be cheaper to get it done on the insurance, I just never bothered

Most of these are little things but I feel its better to be honest and up front about them to save wasting anyones time.

- The exhaust heatshield rattles a little

- Drivers window motor is a little slow (passenger one was replaced with one from a 44k car but the drivers one was fine at the time, has since gone slow)

- CD player sticks sometimes when taking or ejecting a CD

- Some bubbling of paint on the rear arches (shown in pics)

- Stone chips on bonnet as you would expect

I replaced the front wings a few months ago as they was some rust bubbling through but couldnt be bothered to match the paint, hence why they are black.

It also only currently has one bonnet lifter fitted as I didnt get round to drilling a hole in the new wing to fit the second. Will be inculded in sale
