At the min I've got a 1.0 6n and its about fucked so I'm gonna put a different engine in! Its an aer atm but if i were to put a different engine in e.g. 1.4 8v or 1.4 16v . . . . etc would the current loom and injectors and alternator and everything else fit to a different engine? I'm gussing i.ll need a differnet ecu for a different engine just unsure of what else? Any help would be great cheees

Right people I'm gonna put a 1.4 8v in to my current 1.0 1999 6n! I'm just getting the bare block atm, can i use all the ancillaries from the from 1.0 bay and get away with only needing to change the ecu or what? need some help here please

How come you're getting a bare block? It'll probably work out cheaper in the longrun to get a whole engine including ECU and loom.

Depending on the engine you're getting and how you plan on running it you might need dash panel insert, coil reader and key and these are needed to get around the immobiliser. Although people on here probably know a way round that too.....?

Just because I've found a few on the net close to me and thats all they are, just the block, no injection stuff or alternator or gearbox or anything else? thats y i was wondering if i could just swap the blocks over and use all the bits that i already have on the current engine? so if i can find a way around the immoboliser i might just be able to just swap the ecu over? i plan on getting an engine from pretty much the same year car but just instead of a 1.0 it'll be a 1.4
