My son ran his Golf Mk1 Driver a bit low on oil and I reckon it's damaged a cam lobe or a follower - so, I'm looking for a replacement

I nearly had kittens when I saw the Kent 300 degree cam advertised in the For Sale section, but then realised it had been sold

So - its a 1983 Golf Driver - 1272CC - GF engine code - mechanical head, NOT hydro. I believe the GK engine had the same cam

I'm happy to buy a complete head if its available, but I need to know its in a good condition

I'm also happy to consider an uprated cam if such a thing exists, but from what I can see, choices for the mechanical head cars are very limited.

Cam now sourced - thanks to everyone that had a look, even though nothing actually turned up

Oil starvation to the cam can be caused by a blocked or otherwise damaged oil spray bar. Check that it's ok before you start running the cam,

I've got a few mech head cams spare, but they are all from lesser engines, the GF (GK, HH) cam is the best of the bunch from the factory.
