6n2 headlight bulbs.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

As above- On a 6n2, is it possible to change the bulbs in the headlights w/o removing the bumper and lamps?

I had a little tinker but couldnt find much, only the black plastic cover behind the bulbs. :?

I want to change my main up, main dipped and sidelights.

Thanks.

yes you can,

You'll need H7's for the headlights, 501's for sidelights and H1's for high-beams.

remove the black back cover;

501's just pull out

H1's and H7's are both locked in with a metal arm which will need to be released to remove the bulbs.

Can't remember how to do it off the top of my head as i've not changed a bulb for a while but it's real easy to do.

You'll only need to remove the bumper if you change the headlight cluster itself.

Thanks very much, great, quick reply!

I'm going to go have a go now, will keep you updated although it still sounds quite tricky..

just had another good look at it, and i havnt got any further... J:

i got the big black cover off easy (the one with the wire latch over it) but i cant seem to remove any of the bulbs out of there! I'm pulling really hard but want to be careful not to brake anything too. Have tried pushing and pulling anything that looks like a clip too...

what am i missing?

Thanks.

Ok, I managed to get one of the bulbs in, but its not working when i turn on the lights?... I dont know why though, everything seems to be in order.

Any ideas?...

if you're fitting LED sidelights, they're polar sensitive, so try turning it round and fitting again.

A few more details wouldn't go amiss :)

No problemo, did you get it sorted in the end then? they can be awkward if you've not got small girlish hands, haha.
