i want to run some wider wheels on my bready but cant :(

some people use mk1 golf arches

wondering how to go about this? How easy is it? What do i need?

some guy on here did it and although it solved his wide wheel issue it seemed that the wheel was no longer central in the arch.. thought I should think there would be ways around this.

I'm guessing that if you are good at bodywork and can weld it would be easy enough.. but if not very difficult. and you would need mk1 golf rear arch flares, which can be bough off ebay or from crazy quiffs.

How wide do you want to go? there are plenty of breadies on here running wide wheels.. most will have had arch work done but probably not as drastic as welding in whole new arches from another car
