Rubbing noise at 40mph+ coming from rear

Featured Replies

Rubbing noise at 40mph+ coming from right rear which is pretty annoying got a feeling its the wheel bearing although I'm no mechanic and i dont think its the brakes because it makes a noise when I'm actually breaking aswell

any ideas on what it could be and how much it would be? bcoz i dont know if its worth reparing as its a 1995 6n with 108 on the clock...

cheers

Sounds like a wheel bearing. Although they also make noise at lower speeds. If it is that, then its not too much of a problem to fix, so long as the bearing doesnt disintegrate and shaft the rear axle. Couple of pounds and an hours work if you know one end of a spanner from the other
