i have got a hole in my flexi pipe and its blowing like a ****! just wonderd if anyone would have an idea how much its would cost for a new one at a garage with fitting??

I was quoted 140ish for the part... Thats from the manifold to middle box (including cat) only from VW (without searching on internet for the part)

I've been quoted 85 for a flexi pipe fitted stainless steel with a lifetime gaurantee

but going to another garage soon to see about gettin it done cheaper :)

Sorry to hijack. Tonight I've just ripped my flexi pipe to pieces on the snow. Does anyone know if i actually need the flexi pipe because i will get the welders at work to cut it out and weld a straight bit of pipe in.

Don't go to kwik fit, they're utter rip off merchants. Find a reputable local exhaust place.

mate a flexi pipe is very worthwhile it takes a lot of shock should you hit.clip the exhaust like you seem to have managed tonight had the flexi not been there to take the punishment the result could of been a manifold ripped from the studs etc etc
