very well suggested insurance group HIC insurance.

The story:

I was at work late afternoon getting on with sales work, then it occured to me i need to sort out my insurance so i called HIC for a quote.

The original quote:

£1200, but they spoke to the manager and got it down to £763 pay off and £870 pay monthly

now i am 21 with a licence for almost 3 years, a crash anfd 2 years no claims and the car is a 1.0litre Polo with coilies and alloy wheels

they have offered me a modifiers insurance which is a better premium!!

i pay less than that on my bmw

And I pay considerably less on my Mk2 16v, but I don't have a crash to my name. Do have 3 points though...

They quoted me £800 Yearly for my G40 i was gona get but that was like 2 yrs ago now lol, doubt id get that again but even i was like :o

i got quoted 860 for fully comp with brentacre for modded insurance with 5 years no claims and I'm 25 wish i lived near you dean my premiums may be more affordable

I'm with HIC because they do free track day cover and with all my mods are rather cheap. But I've heard some not great things when it comes to paying out. So I think I'll be changing next year.

on my own policy at 19

I'm driving a mk3 loon no engine mods lowered 80/60 with g40 brakes

i'm payin 650 on my 1.3 mk3 with big brakes engine mods lowered wheels etc etc etc list long as my arm but i get drive any car cover for free thats the only reason i stayed with them, worth the extra 50quid or so as its so useful! am 22 with 2ncb

I pay £900 over 10 months for my mk2 with a crash against my name but with 2year ncb.

Think I'm going to look for a new insurer soon.

i was looking at a 1L polo 6n2 only mod confirmed was lowered it was 1200 without my points and is 1700 with my points (5 points) I'm 19 :( driving for 2 years no NCBS lost them in my crash..

mate thats crap, my insurer didn't seem to mind the points. I'm 20, 1 yrs ncb and 6 points, didnt make a difference to the price.

i tried a quote they said i can't put on under 25's as named drivers esp with mods so tried elsewhere.

i paid just short of 2000 on a 1 litre when i first passed... nearly comin up to 3 years now and 21 soon.. paying just over a grand.. robbing

Insurance is a bitch! end off

move to dorset or york... miles cheaper.

i've been with HIC for nearly 4 years now, always been cheap and never had an issue with them

just got my renual from HIC the other day, was £120 more than i paid last yr! not happy, so rang adrian flux and they quoted me happy so i will be moving to them this year.

3points :(

CU80 a year ago...

my quote from adrian flux was 1500 quid for me and thats with no points been driving 5 years 5 years ncb and never an accident or point so why the hell are you all getting such cheap quotes unless your named on someone elses policy

i have 4yrs ncb no crashes that were my fault and no points on my own policy with no fronting, £500 with all mods declared from adrian flux, hic wanted £620 this year FAIL.
