Bloody hell that is looking clean, as I said at the start wow! I really do like this, red mk3 and classics is a winning combo!

this looks lovely, i couldn't deal with the lack of glovebox lid though.

my old coupe was L94 ;)

edit: forgot to mention how much i love the plate, i'd be so stoked if i got my new car and it said 'yay' at the end.

Cheer, It's a maplin 4-door kit that i adapted and then wired to my alarm.

The doors where easy, bit of modifying and my own custom mounts. The boot was alot harder and had to create a sliding bar that stopped the button being pushed in when locked :-p

But i've got it working and its great, no problems. i should of done an FAQ, and may do one in the future if i ever take my door cards off again

is that a hole in your exhaust?

  • Author

No it's a sticker mark lol

Don't know what make the exhaust is, but it's not orginal and had a stick on it, thats now burnt on to it. I cleaned it off now and can't see that anymore :D

Grind off the paint :(

Filler, and how we left it for the day, Managed to do both sides though.

Got a couple more skims of filler before my farJ is happy, But nearly there, hopefully tomorrow we'll be ready for paint :D

Ouch, you have balls doing that to such a nice clean car... thats exactly how i did mine though, you'll be near tucking the 8's no bother :-D

  • Author

Haha cheers mate

The 8s still stick out slightly because i wanted to keep the rear mud flap so the top edge fades out rather than pulling the whole thing ;)

My dads an Ex-Panel beater so i've left him to it and he knows what he's doing, just got to wait until this saturday for paint :D

Refilled side, still not right :(

I'll do a proper written update soon.. :D

Colour-coded door handle inserts

b8b3381e.jpg

Will get pics of them on soon :)

I really do love this car, so clean!

Bought my classics off Anil, exact same setup as yours and also on a red mk3 but a 1.3 CL. Bought the wheels off Anil with 185/60/13 tyres but I have changed those now and they look alot better on 175/50/13.

Haven't rolled the arches yet, and got pulled by the fuzz. They called the traffic police out and they weren't bothered by the wheels protruding and let me go.

Seen your car at Anil's before you got it, very clean example!!

All the best with the rest of the mods!

Ahhh i see Anil mentioned someone had bought the other half of the set :) .. I agree it does look good on 175s.

The police around my area are a bit funny on it, and with it being my first year driving, i don't want any trouble :)

It's changed abit since Anil had it, few extra bits and a bit of a tidy up in some places :D

Thanks for the comment

My dads going to a scrap yard thursday to hopefully get some Renault 5 mirrors ;) .. The sunroof flake and some over bits will be sprayed before InCarNation 1000, so more updates soon
