come and do mine!!! its fantastic!

Haha, It total, the whole work on the two rear aches probably cost me about £50 in materials.

Some cars, you could probably do it without painting. But my car has been Mopped and has quite thin paint, so cracked straight away haha

Mine would need paint as its scratched and chipped on the arches anyway, cracking job though mate!!

such a lovely mk3, one of the best on here!! you should get to some shows and represent the club on the stands!!

Hello all,

Thought it was about time i updated this, with all the recent updates.

Firstly, when i went to the scrap yard, i picked up some new Dust Covers for the front, the old ones had corroded and were held on with cable ties :\

So up the car went, and drilled out the bolts

Old Vs. New

Then driving the car i noticed some knocking noises and realised when the car was bought into the scrap yard they had bent the covers, but we sorted that and all is well!

Now to my Audio install.. I knew exactly what i wanted, and my dad (bruce) advised me on what was best and the best way of doing it.

£25 later and several free cuts from B&Q, we had the wood and the box building started. My dad did all the box building whilst i did all the Trimming.

Dont have many pics because i was generally at work whilst the box was being built.

Then once the box was all put together, it was now my turn to play!!

Sub hole cut and amp cut out

Amp placed into sliding draw

Whilst all this was drying, i got the trimming addiction and trimmed a few more bits,

Dial/Heater control

Door Handle inserts

I also trimmed the underside of the parcel shelf, no pictures I'm afraid

Back to the main box,

Here it is, all in the car, trimmed awaiting the enforced glass

And heres some pictures of it, once finished with glass included

Thanks bro!

Yes of course haha. Need it quicker though, just not sure what i want to do. Really fancy some bike carbs but believe its quite abit of work

I know I'm gonna save up for either a 1.6 8v aee or 1.4 16v afh conversion. Just weighing up the pros and cons. aee seems better engine but afh is more power for money.

Loving the box! looks pretty sweet, my sub just takes up all my boot :( I'm thinking of doing something like this.

Definately worth it bro, I don't really need a boot, but i can still fit all my college stuff in there with ease and the sub box is relatively easy to move. Wanted it to that i can still get to the spare wheel well

Yeah thats the annoying thing about a sub no boot space for shit. i might try and make a box for the side of the boot. probably won't fit though :( i'll measure up tomorrow, praying for a bit of sunshine
