17's on a 6n?

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is just a pipe dream, but anyone know if a set of 17's with 205/40's would fit on my 6n? I know the speedo would be out due to the rolling diameter, but more bothered about actual arch space.

Suspension is standard at the moment, so the idea would be to fit, then lower to suit.

Don't mind rolling, grinding or hammering the arch lips if needed, but don't want to get too technical.

As i said might just be a pipe dream. Any thoughts?

Not that I can give you a direct answer, but width and offset make the biggest difference so I'd list them too.

Offset would be one deciding factor, but the fact is 205/40-17s are just too big for a 6n. If you want 17s, then 185/35-17s would be the best shout.

i think 17's just wouldnt look right tbh.

16's are even a push ..

but its your car and if thats what you wanna do then go for it!

I THINK MAYBE IT'S 15'S ALL THE WAY, WELL HELLOOOOOO MISS KLUM!

INCIDENTLY, I'VE ALREADY GOT 2 SETS OF 15'S IN MY GARAGE, A SET OF CHEAP DOTZ I BOUGHT LAST WEEK OFF OF HERE AND SOME ESTORILS I'VE HAD FOR AGES. NOW JUST GOT TO DECIDE WHICH ONES TO FIT AND WHICH TO FLOG ON. ALL THESE DECISIONS TO MAKE, I FEEL OUR GOOD FRIEND STELLA MIGHT HELP ME DECIDE!
