Don't think I have seen anyone here running the AEX (1.4 8v 1995-1998) 6n engine on motorbike carb's actually in a 6n.

Is there anyone running this set-up? I maybe buying a mk2 ibiza with this engine soon which is basically the same car as the 6n and I am thinking of running it on carb's for many reasons.

What's the 6n like to drive with this set-up? It has 60bhp as standard and with the above set up and a few more tweek's i'm expecting around 80bhp.

Anyone got any experience?

they're all pretty much the same it should be good mate get it done...the only thing I can think is that the mk2 ibiza is a cross between 6n n golf parts so imagine it will be heavier/slower than a 6n but still worth a crack, set up right should give you better torque n make it much nicer to drive!

Also, its funny you say that about the Ibiza being slower.... I had a drive in it and it was much quicker than the two AEX 6n's i have driven.

I think I will be doing it, obviously it will help. But I just want some one who's done it before to pipe up and let us know how it drives with it being quite a heavy car.

I did it on the AEE and that was so much more fun to drive...just pulled alot better, though i think most of the enjoyment is just the sound lol

Certainly. And i suppose the AEE has only 15bhp over the AEX so you can kind of compare them both, More torque also obviously.

You get it set up on a dyno? Or just jet it as best you could?
