yeah definately. will be a winner when thats done..

Well, i was going to buy some coilovers this month, but after a call to the insurance i found out that it will be too much to declare them so i will have to wait till the summer when i have more no claims.

anyway, i wanted to do something to the car over the easter break and my wheels needed a good refurb due to me not being able to judge where the curb is properly lol

i sanded them down almost to the metal at some points the marks were so bad

Then the masking up

IMG00813-20110420-1508.jpg

and the final product. I used Rover gunmetal grey if anyone is interested

Yeah it would have been easier to take the wheels off but i didnt have any spare wheels to put on the car or anywhere safe to leave the car jacked up while i painted the wheels

Should see the state of my drive! We dragged a scrap car on the floor across it hahah, that along with oil and burnout marks she loves us

Be thankful you have drives! Try adjusting coillies on a country road hahaha! not easy, especially when you get tractors throwing mud and hay all over the place hahahaha!

doing it on a country road does not sound fun at all. i think my parents would kill me if i dragged a scrap car across there drive haha

i can do what i like to my drive at uni though. the grass is ruined where me and my other housemate park our cars. i was actually stuck in the mud for 10 mins the other day when we had loads of rain and made massive holes. i will get a picture tomorrow

A lot of people will be happy about this, i accidently ripped off half of the stickers from my dash so i decided i may as well take them all of the air bag part

in all honesty i do think it looks better to be fair

also got a wheel whores sticker to cover up the rust that is starting on my door too haha

The guy there said that the diameter of my exhaust is too large so i need to get a smaller one at some point, is this true or not? I currently have 2.5" pipes and he recommended 1.75" pipes

Edited by rozza92

Probably 2" bore for a mildly tuned 16v.. looks good though.

Only one query, is the backbox leaning to the left?

  • Author

i dunno why i only noticed when i got home, i may have to give them a ring and complain

seeing as though my car is being used like a van recently, i thought i would make it easier for myself and by some roof bars off ebay. its a good thing that polos are bigger than they look inside with the amount of camera equipment i have had in recently
