6N2 Gti leather interior

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondering how much the leather interior from a 6N2 Gti is worth, I know it doesnt come up for sale very often and is fairly rare.

And I mean a full set, front + rear seats and the door cards.

Also am I right in thinking that the front seats are heated?

If anyone has a set they would be interested in selling let me know :-D

  • Yeah thats correct fella. The under seat plugs are same iirc. But the switch ones are bound to be different!

door cards and loom i'd be looking at paying 600 quid+ depending on condition

Just the seats more like 300.

Yes front seats are heated, loom you can buy new for around 50 quid. Switches are rare but I've got a random spare one i got off ebay.

You can use passat switches but they dont quite fit. Need some modding.

Cheers, thats gave me a rough idea on price, think thats what my christmas money is going towards lol :-D

Its now you start stalking the cars breaking section and scrap yards trying to find a set

Might be better to do what I did and source a Colour Concept Recaro leather interior from a MK3 Golf - more or less a straight fit, and then (although I haven't done this bit yet) just have your door cards recovered in leather.

The Recaro's are also heated and much nicer than the standard 6N2 leather IMHO.

true, they are more supportive. But again a black set is just as rare.

If your car suits red, yellow or blue then go for a set of them!

Most are abit tatty and battered though!

I was lucky, I got a set of black ones ;) With the loom and switches.

Yeah I looked at a set of colour concept seats, I've got a mate selling a set in black, might go for it :-D My cars the dark green, thinks its dragon green? so I think black would be my best bet.

Id want the door cars too so they match the seats, could I get the centre/arm rest piece of the door card re-trimmed or is it all part and parcel? so would I have to have the whole lot covered.

Cheers Alex

Well I was dead set on getting the door trims covered but actually once the seats are in - the standard charcoal cloth doesn't look that much out of place so I've left it for now.

You could do whatever you wanted really fella... doing just the inserts or the whole thing would work either way.

I just need the loom and switches now, I want to use the 6N2 switches so they fit properly, but will I be ok to use a 6N2 loom aswell, because the seats are from a mk3 golf, is the plug the same etc...

I don't think the plug is the same as the MK3 plug is a single unit with both switch dials in it and the 6N2 has the same as the passat switches, singe individual units.

Mine are all wired in, but no heat from the seats. I'll have to investigate properly when the weather warms up a bit.

As for the door cards, the cloth are inserts but they're actually etched into the plastic panel so you can't just remove them and glue them back in. Have a look at your door panels, you'll see what I mean (I was thinking of a DIY jobbie but not sure i'm up to it).

am sure the plug on the mk3 golf seats is same as a polo one.

thats the loom new. Pretty expensive.

You can pick the switches up off ebay. Rare though.

I've got 1 if you want it. But not much use in singles lol. Like i said some of the passat switches fit but are fractionally too large. Need abit shaving off. Get the ones that light up in red. I cant remember the part number but i'll look into it for you.

Ok will do :-D

So ill have the standard 6N2 dash with the door cars and the centre piece trimmed in black leather with colour concept black leather seats.

Anyone got any ideas what I could do with the roof lining and the A B C pillars do I keep then the standard light grey or re-trim time?

Alex

Are you sure the switch is the same guys? I did this install only a few weeks back and there is one block connetor for the pair of switches - so how will you connect two individual switches to a single block connector from the Golf?

Think there might be abit of confusion, I think that the connectors on the bottom of the seats are the same, but as you say not where the switches plug in.

I'm going to use a proper 6N2 loom now any way.
