They body doesn't come off sooo easy, all the ally pannles are rivoted to both the chassis and body!

This thing is awesome! While i was over picking up some parts off Ben he kindly started it up! and my lord it is sweet as a nut!

i let out a lil sex wee over your custom headers and arp headbolts. how many miles do you reckon you've done since you built it, do you have to run the engine in first, how the hell do you manage to do it on a beast like that

and the gearbox rebuild sounds trick! you do that yourself?

Its the same body through out, buts its had many chassis under it, things like the rear arches and boot lid are the fiber glass ones fitted in the 70s!

Its got ARP head and main studs as well as rod bolts, the head studs are torqued to 140 ft lbs LOL.

I've done 87 runs in it, 90% of them in the low 10s. But thats works out at abround 21 miles. so in total it will have done 60 maybe 70 miles, tryin to work out how much i've spent on fuel but its scay.

Normaly take 90quids worth of tesco 99 and did 7or 8 meetings!!

The motor was run in on the dyno, every thing is moniterd and can be but under some load.

The gear box is the only thing on the car we/i didnt do. i have a good freind that does that bit, have you ever seen in side an auto box, blooody voodoo i tell you!

you took 2 months off the worlds oil reserves when you started it up the other day for thorpy haha!

that is pretty scary, but man i bet for that mile, its the best gallon of fuel youve ever rinsed!

and i get confused by the inside of a manual olop gearbox, so you can get your voodoo chile and get fooked!

you should get your mam to do a run in it for jokes!

and 140 lbs ft! best thats some uber butt clenchy tense moments!

do arp studs never need changing? as obvs the bolts they replace are stretch bolts? is it the nut that takes the strain? or can they just be used over and over again!

I'm thinking in investing in a set, if they can be used over and over again, means it would be better to buyer sooner, rather than later, as g40 headbolts aint cheap! =[

Factory bolts are not strech bolts, but been american and from the 70s there not the best!

The arp bolts/studs do last a long time,providing you dont over torque um!

His mam drives better than he does and she ain't got a licence. Needs to you see its a long bus ride to my house and she ain't good enuff to be worth me pickin her up.

use to have a 1936 morris 8 with a 5.0 tvr engine but swoped it for a 1968 austin A35 van tubed out back end with a roof chop and a 3.9 rover in it. sold that to as I got ill.

never mind I still get to the pod as its only down the road for me. most of my time doing rwyb I would still like a all out drag racer. maby one day.

I hope to see it at some point as I am crewing for al oconor. ( al's gasser 59 ford pop )

last I heard it was in south wales. I sold it to a guy in yorkshire after I snaped the back axel showing off at a club night. I told them the wheelie bars were there as it needed them lol it shot up like a good un and then it snaped and I was only on one wheel before it came back down sideways lol

it was not as fast as my morris 8 tho. 5.0 tvr engine with a wooden floor lol
