First of all this is my 4th polo , some of you may remember my white Openair which chris_vw now owns, i regret selling that car :(.

I bought the car with a knackered gearbox and a bent back door. not bad for £370

Ordered a gearbox from the bay from a lupo which has done 49k with proof, So then got onto fitting the gearbox also braught a new clutch to future proof the car, then while the car was in vagtec in Ironbridge (dads mates garage) which i say rob the owner is an absolute top bloke it was sitting over the pit, found a snapped spring, and it was payday the next day so decided to buy FK Street Coilovers.

i dont know about you but i haven't seen many mercato blue one around and the ones i have seen a few 5 doors but i'm yet to see any 3 doors and i have never seen another mercato blue 3 door 16V's at all so in my area at least i'm in a unique car your plans sound good but i think the carbon wrap is way too overdone but thats my opinion so its up to you

well i was only going to do the bit covering the speedo, 2 air vents and heater bit on the middle, i think it would look quite modist ?

Nice progress mate, best colour as well

Looks tidy, I need to get my gearbox replaced before it blows up..

Ebay mate 220 delivered get the clutch from euro car parts quite cheap

decided to have a day of college felt a bit under the weather so i decided to play

right got it back from the sprayers, looks ace now,

picked up a gti grill yesterday

had a play with the badge with some spare carbon wrapping i had lying around

just needs some wheels which will be here before UD

sorting out my gti splitter tomorrrow :) hopefully

How was the carbon stuff to do? thinkng of doing mine...

Those gearboxes are good fun to do aint they.. did my clutch last week.
