HID lights on polo, will the light pattern be ok?

Featured Replies

I've recently fitted hid's to my other runabout car, admittedly i have had people infront of me pull over to let me past, and i know my alignment is out. will any garage align the headlights for me? or will it have to be an MOT station?

You could get it roughly aligned yourself, but most garages will do it for you. Any mot station will do it ad they all have the equipment to set it correctly.

If there fitted properly then swapping H4's at the side of the road takes less than 5 mins.

Mine passed 3 MOT's with HID's and the beam pattern is actually better with them than normal bulbs, on some models you just need to set drivers side slightly more left than normal to make sure you dont dazzle anyone.

If you have H4's then you will get a clunk as the bulb holder magnets moves the bulb into position.

Usually the reason they're not aligned is because the bulb isn't inserted dead straight into the holder. It still clips in even if it's gone in bent so you may think it's fitted but it actually isn't.

Make sure the bulb goes into the holder dead straight, and then you can go to an MOT station to have them aligned.
