major body kit enquirey

Featured Replies

hello there everyone, il start of with wishing everyone a happy new year and i hope u all had a good one, i think i did cant really remeber much :-D

i have a 2001 polo estate and i have been wanting to put some kind of body kit on it but dont really know where to look for something.

now a normal polo body kit will not fit but as far as i am aware the body kit of a saloon or a classic will fit.

does anyone know where i could look for a kit for a classic or saloon.

my polo is dropped 60mm with 17" 5 spoke wolfrace wheels and blacked out windows. i think it looks smart the way it is but a suttle body kit would set it of beautiful i recon

any help would be greatfull

thanks Duncan

happy new year too you too .. erm, as for the body kit.. if you ask me and probably 90% of this forum... the bodykit is a bad idea lol

youv got a nice car there i like the estate polo`s .. my advice would be, remove the bump strips (makes a huge diffrence!), and change the alloys for like a 14inch - 15inch dish alloy and it will look 5x as nice..

but as they say, its your car make it look how you want

You need a Delta kit if you're going for the euro look :-p

when i bought the car and did everything to it i had to dropped on a nice set of 15s but i live up in the west coast of scoltand and with the road being a bit bumpy up here i leathered the sump of the road and split it. now i could jusat slow down but where is the fun in that so i put 17s on it and now the sump doesnt hit.

the only reason i thought of a body kit is because I'm not to keen on the front bumper. i wonder even if i put a front splited on it that might make it look nicer.

what is your thoughts on that?

14" on an estate would look daft, 15's 16's or 17's :)

I'm not sure of any companies that offer kits for the estate's, I imagine it'd be easy enough to get a front bumper as they're the same as an ibiza, but then it'd look odd without a rear to match.

Try an ibiza cupra splitter like this one:

that spliter looks not bad actually i might give my local seat dealers a phone in the morning. do u think the headlight eyebrows of an ibiza would fit it aswell

Pretty sure they're based on a seat cordoba, you could probably change the entire front end if you wanted. Its probably worth asking on a seat forum for what its worth.

You want the front bumper from a late 90s Ibiza GTi

so does that mean all the parts for the ibiza and cordoba would fit onto the polo estate. if thats the case i would beable to get a debadged grill and a set of angel eyes for it. or is it not as easy as that. would i maybe need to change the front cross member to get them to fit
