hi all, earlier last year i had an accident, wich nobody was hurt in luckily and everything was forgot about, i didnt claim on the insurance as there was no need as they would of raped me for more than what the car was worth.

anyway, the passanger i had in my car claimed "he had to claim off me for injuries" which i was abit peeved about because he barely had any injuries besides whiplash.

this was all happening back in june last year, a couple of weeks back i got a letter from the police saying that they wanted a statement off me about the accident, so abit confussed i went and gave my statement..knowing i had done nothing wrong i forgot about it.

i then recieved another letter telling me i had to attend court, so again knowing i had done nothing wrong i attended court, at court they decided to give me a £158 fine and 6 points on my driving licence for "driving without due care or attention"!!

its now nearing the end of my first 2 years driving btu they are going to revoke my licence because i have got 6 points!

now people are telling me i can appeal against it, I've searched and searched and nothiing is making sence, so I'm looking for abit of advice from you guys.

is there anything that can help my appeal?

i need my car to get to work and i also need it to get to college, if i have my licence revoked I'm going to struggle, now i would accept it if i had done something wrong but it was a genuine mistake, accidents happen!

any advice would be greatly appreciated :/

Unlucky mate , very unlucky.

When i had an 'issue' I phone the police to report it , It was down to an issue with the car (breaks)

They didnt seem bothered , i think i was just super lucky. and the fact the car even started and drove home in first all the way was just a stroke of pure luck.

To the courts theres no such thing of accidents.

Unless you have some hard evidence of you not making a human driving error or vehicular failure (as its you duty to make sure the cars safe) your bummed.

Just out of curosity was you passanger a friend? bit of a idiot if he was. He made the decition to sit in the car

my advice would be to smash the lads face in who stabbed you in the back. or if he has a car, smash that up.

other than that, there's not an awful lot you can do... these things have a way of biting you very hard in the arse if you appeal. probably best to have some revenge and get on with life.

he was a friend, well i thought, known him for years he was polish(says it all)

after we fell out over it he went out on a night out, got drunk with some friends, slept with someone, he is now in a young offenders institute for rape as she got him done for it!

the police can not call you to cort after 6 mounths . from experiance from when i was younger . any way yes you can appeal it as its been over 6 mounths and if they do retry you or w.e clame you need your car for work and just suck there arse even if you get 6 points on speshial surcumstances meaning you get cort doing anything atol elagul then they will take your licence . better to have 6 points then no licence .and sometimes when you apeal it you can clame back your fine pluss loss of wage from work and traval as they have wasted your time . look into it more but I'm 100% on them not been able to take you to cort after 6 mounths .

I also agree. I think traffic offences are 6 months. Worth a solicitor?
