Yeah tell me about it, I'm based in Pontypridd too, and the roads around here are terrible, I can still get away with driving it rough because its only got standard wheels on it. As soon as the weather gets a bit better, and all the grit decides to bugger off, I'm goona buy new wheels for it, no idea what yet though.

I reckon a set of banded steels would set it off nicely, keep up the good work :)

i use mine for pizza delivery too, its annoying when you have to use the money you've earnt to repair your car, just so you can use it for work!!

I'm not sure, I think banded steels have been and gone for me. I used to want them, dont get me wrong, they look mint on some cars, but they just don't do it for me anymore. I'm deffo after some dish though :)

As for the pay to repair ratio, its going good! I had to buy a few little pieces when I first got it, but I do that with all my cars (fuel filter, plugs, leads oil filter, water pump) but apart from that shes been good to me! *touch wood* haha

I'm gonna take some more pictures later, my de-badged grille got delivered today, so whap that on. :)

I had my windows tinted up by you, at tinted vision as always they did a wicked job

you taken the helpers out? shoulda kept the mudguards and had them scraping the floor :p woulda been sick. unless they ripped off :S

Not really thinking about wheels ATM, having a few issues with the engine so that needs to be sorted before I do anything else.

On another note, I've heard allot of good things about those guys, seem to have their heads screwed on/ Can I ask how much it cost you? Its on my list of things to do.

Ah cheers bro, yeah I was pretty beast with a soldering iron back in Design Technology, so thought Id have a go. Plus the fumes get you nice and wrecked too hahah. I used bits cut out of the 8v bumper I took off, makes life allot easier when both pieces of plastic have the same melting point. Only thing I need now is a 16v engine to go with the bumpers. :-D

Nah man, helpers are still on, its not even wound that far down, all have another inch of thread left on them, I'm going to leave it as it is until I decide what wheels I'm having. Cant be arsed with all the camber and tracking business all the time.

But yeah the mud guards had to go, the one by the tailpipe was half melted away, looked gash hah. But in all honesty, one of the hardest jobs I've done on this car was getting those things off. took me a good hour to get them all off haha

plastic welding isn't that hard i did a 16v front bumper with a a soldering iron just the same as this chap just took a little patience

How did you smooth it out in the end? any pictures of your final result?
