well due to a lack of garage facilities and the fact it is pissing down non stop round here its going to a vw specialist to get the blowing exhaust done as well as noisy wheel bearings, then ill sort some electrical gremlins in the windows and mirrors, sort the bodywork including the huge dent in the passenger door, then it'll be

GTI headlights

Gti grilles

some fogs because someone took them off (standard fit on 16v, i have the correct switch but the fogs have been replaced with reflectors)

a bit of lows

nothing else until i get next round of student loan

where abouts in shoreham are you? :) I'm in Southwick  the car is a good starting point!

I'm just behind kings manor, we probably went to the same school mate.

but heres an update,

took the car to pfeiffers vw specialist in hove to have a few bits done so she no longer leaks oil or stinks the garage also did a cv boot i didn't know about, and saved me some money by telling me my rear tyres aren't quite round anymore

but best of all THEY WASHED IT.

so tomorrow i'll be ordering some ContiSportContact2's a la GTI as when i do any tyre searches with my reg it says I'm running 13's despite the 15's being standard :? then looking for quotes from bodyshops for my huge passenger side dent

its been a while since i last posted anything in here, not much to report but some slow progress has been made (goddamn money issues!)

done a really bad job of painted calipers, just a huge brush and no masking.

its Minz green (fabia vrs caliper colour) or to the more eagle eyed its hammerite smooth green, they don't sell minz green to the public.

utf-8BSU1HLTIwMTEwMzA4LTAwMDQ2LmpwZw.jpg

fitted some ultra chavvy LED sidelights with white bulbs to follow, as HIDs will become fully illegal.

started spraying up a drivers side stubby as my current mirror was been a victim of the previous owners inability to park.

but photobucket wont let me upload the pic.

replaced the wipers for aerotwins and thats about expect wheels at some point and maybe some lows too after the next student loan payment comes in

i had wondered why my drivers window, mirror adjusters locking switch, well come to think of it everything in my drivers door didn't work (well apart from the illumination on the switches). well after trying everything, i pulled the little rubber gaiter between the door and car off to find

looks like me and the soldering gun are gonna get well acquainted.

small update, nothing major just cooling system headaches. spotted a leak in my stat housing so decided to replace it, I bought a new one from eurocarparts and promptly fitted it and all was well. but after about Twenty miles of driving this happened.

Adur-20110706-00105.jpg

Now there was a thread in that hole when I fitted it but the coolant pressure must have stripped those weak threads because then temperature raised to 110 degrees with the coolant light on, needless to say I was pretty pissed off. got my friends in the yellow van to tow me home I put the old stat housing back on went to ECP and got a refund and put some bloody K-seal in it. bish bash bosh problem solved.

Moral of the story ECP thermostat housings are a bit hit and miss, try to buy genuine parts.

With my 6n I had a bad problem with my thermostat housing it just burned away because it hadnt been replaced in so long. The engine just overheated over and over, that day sucked! haha.

Polo looks good mate, pretty annoying that you found in it falmouth and got it right under my nose haha. Where you based mate?

P.S. The student loan does help ;) haha spent most of mine of the polo I just bought but getting most of it back from my Peugeot ha

couple of miles outside sunny brighton, I would not have a car now if it weren't for student loans. I just don't earn enough to replace a car so luckily student loan went in just as my mk2 become completely dangerous.
