hi iv got some 8j and 9j banded steels and my god they poke and i dont think are friends the police will be verry happy about it need to cover them and dont no were to get some arches from iv seen these jdm style were can i get some and dose any one have pics of what they have done with this problem thanks hope u can help taylor

you either need to flare or roll your arches, have a look about for somewhere that does them

surely just easier to buy some wheels that fit. you will still be able to get the wide look, but legal

what about a bit of fettling with some mk1 golf arch flares coz bora will be to big or like iggi says get some less wide and they will fit better what sort of et are they ayway to poke 3inches must be minus something

the problem with banded steels is that most of the time all the width is added to the outside of the rim, this gives a cracking dish but makes them much harder to get legal.

flairing the arches enough to get these wheels under would look shit, there was a lad that did it before and it just looked ridiculous tbh, they just didn't follow the lines of the car at all. if you can get some kind of wide arch kit then you might be able to pull it off, some thing like riveted on jdm style arches might work looks wise but i'm not even sure if they would be enough to make it legal...

gettin some smaller wheels is all good but thats just like everone else want to be a bit diffrent

if it's a choice between being different and getting 3 points per wheel sticking out i know which i would choose

when they pulled me they threatened to have my car towed because it was unsafe, luckily they pulled me as i pulled up out side my house and they let me swap them for another set of wheels.

I've been looking at them arches. i dont think they will suit the mk4, unless you get them smoothed in to the body work. Id rather get rid of the ones you get back and get stagger 7 and 8's be cheaper in the end.

had them camberd today and now there fuckin leakin air round the welds well pissed off

those arches look pretty silly on that polo tbh, but there's a good chance they will make your wheel's legal judging by the photo's in that link

Buy some tiger seal and run it round the welds, problem solved

they are wide if there sticking out 3" would be alot cheaper getting not so much wide ones than if you had arch work and still wood look good

A Dude called simmo on here sells them arches same as what's on the red mk4 not sure on price but there not expensive
