Private company parking tickets

Featured Replies

Guys, I've got a ticket from a private company in Nottingham, ignored them for ages cos I was told only the council can legally enforce parking tickets, had about 4 court threatening letters now though, what do you think?

4 letters threatening court and no summons..... what do you think that tells you?

You would be wrong in thinking that the council can only issue parking tickets. There are car parks that are owned by private firms than can and WILL issue tickets to offenders. So no one is immune from these unless you for example; have a permit to park there or whatever.

You said youve recieved 4 court threatning letters? Does that mean youve recieved no parking fines?

What do these letters say? Are they just warning not too park there in the future.

What the hell? whoever though that only councils could only give parking tickets? Private firms been giving out tickets for years, they are a con.

But councils are the only one to be afraid of as they will take you too court, private company gives you a ticket throw it in the bin as they do not have a leg to stand on in court so they will not take you there.

Haha, I have about £500 in parking fines from a trip to Kent about 2 years ago from a private company, it's awesome.

?...

I've had this crap from private firms. Here's what you do. They can't fine the registered keeper, only the driver. Ask 'em to prove you were driving, and laugh at 'em when they can't :p

haha lucky you was'nt privately clamped seen them bastards on watch dog pfffft

nice people!!! Nooooooooooot!
