Basically just as the title says. My second pump have given up now and I don't want to keep wasting my money so would be good to seal it or protect it somehow.

haven't done it yet but I'm gonna whack some silica gel packs ( from old shoe boxes) in there to absorb the moisture sounds good in principal but i wont know if it works until i try it

I'm gonna seal the rear lights at first and see if that helps coz I think that is the main problem. Something that wouldn't let the water through would be good for the pump though :)

Someone on hear suggested re-positioning it to a higher position, but still in the O/S rear, it sounds like a good idea to me, but haven't got round to doing mine yet.

Plastic bag, 5 silica packs and a cable tie.

Put the bag over the pump and chuck the silica thingys in and use the cable tie to seal the bag around the pipe and cables, then make a FEW holes near the cable tie. Job done hasn't gone wrong for 16 months so far!

I don't really understand the bit I quoted, where should i make the holes?

Make a few holes in the bag itself, as this would allow it to pull in and blow out the air when it works.

I made my holes right at the top where it seals with the cable tie but any where would be fine.
