So whose had their insurance renewal quotes

Featured Replies

Right, just had my renewal quote through and when I saw it I almost choked.

My premium has more tha doubled from last year even though I haven't made any claims?? in fact i have 7 years NCB!! and a clean licence.

I was aware premiums in general were going up but not by this much!!

Anyone here in the same boat?

Never renew. The insurance companies give you a good price to get you on board then sting you when you renew. Take out a new policy!

See I renewed with the same guys last year as theres was by far the cheapest. Had a look on the comparison sites too....granted the quotes are cheaper than the renewal quote i have now but still way more than I have been paying.

I thought premiums were supposed to get lower the longer you drive/more no claims bonus you have.

i put up a similar post last year..

my insurance company tried it on with me last year and put the price up,rather than reducing it

after a phone call it was around £30 cheaper

this was hastings

My renewal quote came in as £1878 tpft....

and then £1500 fully comp :?

So looked around, have managed to get a quote for £1000 tpft or £1200 fully comp...takes the piss what they try and make you pay!

dreading getting mine later in year now i've read this, mine went up last year but i heard everyones did, think i'll be shopping around this year though.

Insurance has gone up a shed load in the past few months

Its about to go up more too i reckon after this winter... i bet the claims from the snow are shocking

Yes, i've not seen anything like it in 20 years of working here!

Please feel free to try our scheme.

QUOTE REF 045 WHEN RINGING

0800 917 2274 or 01424 200477 (cheaper if phoning by mobile)

QUALITY FULL UK BREAKDOWN COVER POLICY = £54.50

Last year my insurance was £650.

Got my renewal letter through from Elephant and they wanted £750.

Phoned them last night, went through the policy, changed nothing but they managed (once the boy had spoken to his "Supervisor") to knock the price down to £578

Which is actually the cheapest quote I've had in a while.

So my advice is phone up your company issuing the renewal, they will be just trying it on.
