arch extensions... so you had GT trims! SELL THEM MEEE!

best go see stig of the dump, as the guy i sold the car to, ripped them off and binned them along with the rub strips. you might be able to still get them new though through hadrians panels.

I got to the guy two days after his bins were collected :-( bummer! I did get those trim rings for £1.48 though (all the change I had).

Hadrians have obsoleted one of the two rear arch plastics. Annoying!

here they are

Are they sliced out arround the Stone Guard ?

Had sliced ones in the past ( ARGH ) For the Smal, and the big stone guard :x

How much are they ? cant see a Price Anywere ?

the last set i had were sliced around the original stoneguard, so ideally need joining and smoothing

POLOMON - I was referring to GT trims as GT wheeltrims!

I did have some Breadvan arch trims a few years back on my old GT. £18/side I paid from Hadrians I think.

Get on the bloody phone and call them direct!

Someone binned the rear arch trims :-o bloody idiots lol.

some pics from way back

Fitted my G-Laderseite ARB blocks today. Bought them 3 years ago and fitted them to my old GT bready, the bolts were too short at the time and we couldnt fit the metal plates that time round.

This time round I made sure I had longer hi-tensile bolts and had a new sleeve made up by my mate George as the old one had seized with the bolt stuck in it.

They went on a treat, tracking in the morning along with 2 Toyo Proxies upfront.

Does the donut clamp need to me moved slightly closer to the bush?

Making/fitting a straight thru centre pipe tomoro with my brother and an uprated backbox hanger.

May fit this, would look good with the tailpipe cut just before the bend so a straight outlet. Looks nice.

How it stands currently:

Good read mate , always preferred the look of mk2's to mk2f's but theres something about your bready . Really like it

Cheers mate!

Took car to the garage yesterday, they couldn't reset the tracking as the front nearside shock absorber has popped and leaking. Why oh why do people buy cheap suspension is beyond me!

Got Toyo Proxy's fitted to the front and the tracking has improved, the wheels could have been out of balance too?

Thinking of investing in a pair of Weitec front shockers as I have full Weitec kit on the rear and the springs at home.

Possibly thinking of 14's in the new year sometime, will drag her through the MOT in February and replace/repair the niggles and give it some love.

Yes, it'll be the shock inserts as that's what needs replacing. Would be lovely to drive, my brothers mk2 has a weitec kit on and I loved it when I had his car for a bit.

Got both donut clamps, will move them right upto the bush!

New start for 2012... Hopefully by the end of January it will be sitting on standard shocks/springs :)

You say that asif its a good thing Martin? haha.

Loving this motor mate, I've just enquired again about those arch trims. We'll see if they get back to me!

Looking to sell it in a few months time. Plus, I like the standard look myself. When g40jon owned it, I think it was sitting on standard shock absorbers and G40 25mm lower springs, perfection in my eyes. One of the owners after Jon decided to dump it on a TA Technix kit, wrong move I say.

The front NS shock absorber is leaking and the ride is rough as fuck. I plan on doing a bit of driving and meeting up with mates from uni this year so i'd like a comfortable ride until I get a replacement. And the insurance will be cheaper as a stock GT!

I've been having similar plans with mine recently - i dont think they look bad on standard suspension nowadays and tbh the standard ride is pretty damn comfy for a small car!

I'm selling a low milage mk3 for a mate next month, so i might swap the suspension off that and sell it with my lowering kit. Like you say, with a 25 - 40mm drop on the front they can still look fairly purposeful and in fact it will actually be better on the back roads!

Beginnng of Feb will see new front shock absorbers, original springs, new top mounts and wheel bearings.

Then I will give the car a nice clean inside and out, only cleaned it once in my ownership

I will keep it clean though, looking forward already!

Look forward to seeing it in it's new guise mate.

Been offered a Passat B3 this week (something i've fancied for years) so the future of my breadvan might be hanging in the balance :crybaby:

Duno if i could bring myself to sell it though.
