GT engine conversion

Featured Replies

Due to some changes in plans :ninja: I'm selling the GT conversion that i dropped into my coupe only a few months ago

I've only done around 1.5K miles in it since swapping from a spi

When i did the swap it had new headgasket, cambelt, waterpump, thermostat housing and thermostat, oil change, new plugs, new gaskets all round (inlet, exhaust, sump, cam cover, TB) the block has been painted orange (although it looks red) and the head is silver (the sump has been painted in blue hammerite also)

What you get:

Engine loom

ECU

Fuse box

G40 inlet manifold (Came with it, gives more lower down torque supposedly over a standard GT one?)

Throttle body

Injectors

AFM and airbox

Plastic engine cover with GT badge

Alloy cam cover (off a MK2, pretty hard to come by) This will no longer be painted orange, will be stripped back to bare alloy

Clutch

Correct expansion tank (with plug for level sensor)

Exhaust manifold and downpipe with cat

I think thats everything.

THERE IS NO GEARBOX INCLUDED

I will also be keeping the lighting loom, alternator, engine/gearbox mounts, all coolant hoses and the orange expansion tank lid.

Also, i no longer have the GT fuel pump.

Heres some pictures

When it 1st got dropped in

All plugged up

The oil breather pipe is now in place, didn't have one in that pic so it was blocked with a WD40 cap haha

And for good measure...

I'd like to see £150 for it

Collection only from Wolverhampton, WV3 9BD

Its still in the car but can be removed as and when needed.

haha, id rather be living up in Yorkshire than i would in Wolverhampton.

Forgot to mention the only problem with the engine, nothing massive like.

The cam oil seal leaks slightly, could do with replacing. I have a new one, just never gotten round to doing it.

Its nothing too bad though, oil level hasn't gone down at all, and it doesn't drip or anything (no oil patches in my garage) It must just seep out slightly when at high revs i guess as its the highest point of the engine.

you never know tobes i may have it back :ninja:

where about in wolves are you dude!!!!?

Could I come have a look at this on saturday and il have it off you if all's well?

Well, as soon as i can get the crane back from my mates and get it out.

In no rush really though.

Would you consider posting at all??? :-(

If eth2190 drops out I happen to be in Brum this weekend and I'll take it (assuming it'll fit in the back of my coup). It's about time I got rid of the AAV! Can be there any time except Sunday morning when I'll be hung the fuck over :)
