yeah taht was me coilovers and induction kit for £100.

i thought it was too good but instead of thinking they didn't exist i just worried that they'd be tatty shit.

he's sneeky because when i PM'd him and told him that i noticed he was taking offers still on parts i had bought he posted that all parts were sold.

however i went on the topic yesterday and noticed he had edited it so that it doesnt say they've sold.

i paid with paypal (goods) but also my paypal takes it out of my credit card.

i have opened a dispute with paypal but like people have said you have to wait 7 days, i'm starting to wonder if it's worth contacting the bank, i'm not sure what rights i have.

is there a way to get his address? the bank account he uses for paypal must have an address

just to add i thought it's worth saying i was fooled by him offering a pick up price i mean he can't con someone if they're picking it up, but thinking back he didn't tell me he was in devon untill i told him i was in crewe.

i think what i'm trying to say is to be alert of anyone who doesn't give there location straight away.

you have to escalate your dispute, after that it's a 10 days wait.

he has 10 days to give his side of the story and prove his innocence (which he cant do) if he cant do that the money will be refunded.

Make location an absolute must in all for sale ads. At least if he has to put a location he will probably get people enquiring about collecting parts, who then may get suspicious and warn everyone else. Not to mention the fact that all for sale ads should have a location in anyway to save wasting everyones time.

all ads should have a price and location, its such a waste of time asking how much and like you say it even worse not knowing where they are.

Am on a couple of other forums where you have to be a full member to post in the for sale section, could this be another way on keeping tabs on sellers. It's usually not a huge amount to become a full member, along the lines of here tbh.

thay look throw the wonted bit and send people pms saying thay have what thay are looking for. people just nead to open there eyes a bit.. its a big bad world out side your bed room....

True, could make the wanted section 'members only' too, so they are locked to non members. Just an idea tbh, if people would look out for themselves, the forum wouldn't have to consider things like this

LOL! Little be of sloppy con artistry going on there! Forgot to sign into the right account perhaps.

I'm sure the Mods/Admins can check IP against each account. (of course, it's more then likely they are hiding behind fake IPs)

we should list all the emails the scammer has used. May be able to trace him, they can't all be newly registered.

Just a quick search of his number and you find several adverts on pistonheads and other sites selling a 6n2 for far far below the price it should be. Obviously a serial scam artist! Lucky I got my money back. This kid needs a visit.

Anyone bought off of kad17 yet? He's breaking what looks like a Red 6n in the breaking section.

His post history only has him looking for buyers but not seen a post after his with anyone saying thanks or that they have actually collected anything in person.

I may just be being overly cautious, but either way, rather be safe to be honest.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not accusing him of being a scammer, I'm just being wary of anyone with low post counts with only posts that are sales based. I actually want what he's selling.

I once gambled £190 on a stupid cheap suspension kit for my Golf, bloke had no history, only signed up to sell the kit which was 1/2 price. It got here though, asked for pics, mob number etc.

Only time i got scammed on here was when someone replied to my wanted ad, paypal said i 'won' the case against them but as the person had no funds they couldnt collect, only a £10 luckly.

though paypal paid you back regardless of the other guys account satus then send the debt collectors out to deal with the nice person.
