I have a 1997 model Vw Polo 1043cc model. When I bought the car the cd player/cassette player had been removed. I bought myself a nice CD player which fits perfectly into the slot but the cables do not fit it, I take it I need adapters then??

What adapters do I need?

I have been looking on Ebay but theres far too much choice. Please help me ASAP, need music lol. I think I also need an aerial signal booster. If anyone has the part numbers or a direct link to where I can buy these adapters I would be very greatful!

Mate it depends what make your new head unit is. The quickest way is to go to halfords or any aftermarket car shop and tell them you need an adapter that goes from jvc ( example ) to vw. or alternatively enter that into ebay.

Its a Nikkai mp3/sd head unit (A70JY). Got it from Maplin. Went back there and asked them, they didnt have a clue and told me to ''look it up''. I'm on here. Anyone have any idea? Theres no Halfords near me..

I've had a look around net and doesnt seem to be anything, You could try having a look at your adapters coming out your stereo, enter stereo wiring loom on ebay and see if any of them match up. I've got a sony head unit and the adapters look similar to the ones on the Nikkai

On the box it says standard iso connector. Could this mean anything?

If your aerial is knackered, get a new base or check the contact from aerial to roof metal.
